Week-long stays are ideal for horses needing a recovery period after heavy hauling, maintaining fitness while you’re away, or giving a fit horse a performance boost. For rehab cases, this timeframe often allows issues like abscesses to surface. If your horse is new to the AquaPacer or has been off for months, a longer stay is recommended for real progress. Keep in mind, last-minute bookings especially before a big race may not allow enough time for your horse to adjust and see full benefits.

This is the ideal timeframe for fit horses to begin building extra fitness, improving wind, and strengthening muscle for competition. True physical change takes at least 20 days, so continuing the work at home is essential to maintain progress. Some soreness is normal as your horse adjusts to the increased workload—think of it like boot camp. During this stay, we can also address wound care, manage swelling, and assess muscle condition.

This is where transformation happens. We build a strong fitness foundation with visible before & after results, often preparing horses to return to riding or competition. It’s also the ideal timeframe to complete treatments like EPM or ulcers and see real healing in rehab cases—soft tissue, joint pain, post-surgery, and more. Consistent therapy supports hoof growth and balance. Your horse leaves stronger, healthier, and ready for what’s next.

I take a nose-to-tail approach to identify subtle changes, pain, or weaknesses that can impact your horse’s performance. My assessments are grounded in experience with extensive training in biomechanics, muscle function, and compensation patterns. You’ll receive a fact-based protocol along with recommendations for your vet, farrier, nutritionist, or therapist. In a team approach, collaborating for the best results. While I don’t replace veterinary care, I can be a valuable asset to your team.
